Busy Bees and Butterflies

I was watering plants in the greenhouse a couple of days ago and my greenhouse was abuzz with honey bees!  They are so neat to watch as they flit about my plants.  It's tough to get good photographs because they don't stay in one place very long, but I got a couple of decent shots when they landed on my red kalanchoes.

I also captured this beautiful, green, mysterious butterfly out there, also flitting among the kalanchoes and geraniumus.  Not sure what this pretty creature is, but I was sure happy to see her dancing about :)

  2. Nice shots! I haven't seen any bees or butterflies yet, but things are just starting to bloom at my place. Your kalanchoes sure look cheerful.

  4. Hi Carolyn...Yes, it's sooo neat to see and hear the bees buzzing in my greenhouse! I know most of the rest of the country is still covered in winter white!

Thanks, HolleyGarden! Things are beginning to bloom around here which is a bit early, and I'm mindful of that! I've been bitten by a spring frost a couple of times to know to be weary of a too early spring! Thanks for visiting!

Hi e-Mom...good to hear from you. Thanks for the compliments...the trick is to get close to the bees without getting stung...which has already happened! Not too bad, just a pinch, but very itchy! Thank you for stopping by!

  7. I just saw the first few green leaves barely breaking the surface and my daffodils sre still half asleep. Our bees and butterflies won't be back for another 6 weeks so I'll just enjoy yours instead! :o)
