Christmas Cactus

My Christmas cactus is getting ready to bloom!

It's a time I look forward to every Christmas season.  Around the middle of November/early December, I start looking at the tips of the leaves to see if I can see the buds beginning to form.  Well I noticed a couple of days ago that yes, they sure are!

Last year, I posted the story behind my Christmas cactus so I wont' repeat myself.  You can go back to that post and read it if you'd like.  In any case, this plant is very special to me and it makes me smile to know it will bloom again this year :)

  5. Hi Mac! It really is a special Christmas cactus. I've given clippings of it to my daughter-in-law and my son's girlfriend to be sure Pepere's Christmas cactus continues into the next generation. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Donna, yes, indeed he is. I think of him often, especially around this time of year. He would be so proud of my garden, too!

  6. My Christmas cactus is just beginning to get fat buds. I don't think it's going to make it for Christmas, but I'll be happy to see the blooms whenever they come. Like yours, mine is special to me.

  7. Love the story of your cactus. Very special :-) Enjoy the blooms :-) I have an African violet from my grandmother that I've had for over 30 years. Amazing to think these plants can live that long :-)

Just like to share with you a life quote...
