- My name is Diane and this blog is a journal of my life in Southwest Michigan. My wonderful husband and I lived in South Texas for more than 30 years. In the summer of 2010, we decided we were done with the unbearably long, hot Texas summers. To make a long story short, we bought a beautiful lot on a private lake in rural Southwest Michigan and built our retirement home. My husband has lots of family in this area and my brother and his family live in the central part of the state. Michigan seemed like the logical place to build. For now, we spend spring, summer and fall in Michigan and return to Texas for the winter. And we love it. I grew up in Massachusetts and have realized that I truly am a Northern girl at heart. I love the lakes and woods, cool nights and seasons. This blog is our journey and our life "up North." It is also a continuation of my Texas blog: www.dianestexasgarden.blogspot.com

ReplyDeleteYours is the second blog I've seen today commenting on the blessings of seeing the sunrise...I'm not much of an early riser but I think I will try to make this part of my holiday at least once!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat :) You really should try watching the sun rise...at least once! It's pretty amazing; especially winter sunrises. To me, they are more beautiful than summer sunrises.
