My New Life in Michigan

Hi there...long talk, eh :)  Yes, it's been well over a year since I've posted on this blog and I'm sort of embarrassed to be posting now.  But I hope you all will forgive me.  If any of you are still out there, watching me...kind of...sort of:  Cat, Tammy, Beth, Donna, Toni, Mark, Kelsey, Rachel, et al...Although I haven't posted any comments, I have followed y'all's blogs pretty closely this past year+.  Such good stuff :)

I've finally gotten around to creating a blog about my new life in Michigan.  I can't continue with Diane's Texas Garden because Diane's Texas garden doesn't exist anymore :/  Harry and I now live in Michigan 6-8 months out of the year.  We've moved out of the big house in the South Texas hill country and divide our time between our Michigan home and a smaller, but very lovely home, in San Antonio.

We have made the shift from South Texas to Michigan quite well.  Michigan is beautiful and we love the life we have created up North.

If you are interested in following my new life "in the Mitten", then please check out my new blog My Pure Michigan Life

I really do hope to hear from you.

Me and Gretchen & pups are still a *huge* part of my life!

  1. Oh, I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm surprised that you moved north instead of south, although it sounds like you're splitting your time between the two. Michigan is a beautiful state--almost as lovely as Wisconsin. ;-) Your house looks fantastic, and yes I will check out your new blog. Welcome to northern gardening!

    1. Soooo good to hear from you Beth! I SO look forward to sharing my Michigan garden. Although it will have to wait to April now :/ I'm so happy to be back in touch. Thank you for reaching out!

  2. I'm so glad to hear that you're settled into your new home(s) and doing well. Congrats on the new blog, and happy gardening in Michigan!

    1. Thank you Pam. Wow...thank you for taking the time to comment on my post. You have an amazing garden blog. As a matter of fact, your blog is one that inspired me to blog about my little bitty insignificant garden in Boerne Texas :) Thank you for your comment!

  3. I'm so glad you're back! Michigan looks so much cooler than Texas. Your summers must be a lot easier to manage. I'd occasionally see your blog name pop up in my stats so I knew you were out there somewhere. :o) Those lucky puppies must be loving all that cool green space.

  4. Hi, Diane, so happy to see that you're settled in your new place. It's beautiful and I can imagine y'all don't miss our summers :)
I've missed you and am glad to know that we'll be hearing more from you!

  5. Your house is lovely Diane and the view is to die for! I can see that you have already started planting in your garden, if you want more garden ideas Sugarland Landscaping has some really good ones!
