I love living in the country :) You just never know what you'll find out your back door. A couple of days ago, I was sitting in my office and I saw Laci sniffing something on the ground, obviously very curious. So of course I went to investigate.
It was a molting gecko!
She didn't hurt him or anything. She was just trying to figure out what this was :) It made me giggle. I picked up Mr. Molting Gecko and set him in the grass to finish the task at hand.
One very curious dog. Kingdom cat invented the word investicatting. You need a doggie version ...
ReplyDeleteHmmm Elephant's Eye...an interesting thought. I'll have to noodle on that one. But thanks for visiting! Your photos are phenomenal!
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! Neat that you were able to capture the whole adventure in photos! I love geckos! We don't have those amazing creatures up nort' here. Enjoyed this post!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous to capture the process on camera like that! And how fortunate that your dog was merely curious... Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth...thanks! Geckos are so cool and they make for cheap entertainment too!
ReplyDeleteYes, Janet, Laci was just curious. It was so fun to watch the expression on her face. She was trying to figure out what this thing was! You're welcome! Your blog is very cool :)
Weird! You learn something everyday! I had no idea they did that! Way to be Johnny on the spot and catch that photo! Too cool!
ReplyDeleteYes, Kelsey...it was really weird. I'm always watching the puppies and when I saw how curious Laci was over something, I just had to see what she was focusing on. I didn't know geckos molted either!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet dog you have. And very quires about it. Thank for sharing your experience.
