As a matter of fact, I've given each of my daughters-in-law a few cuttings from the plant so it can continue to bloom into the next generation. Thank you for stopping by!

Happy GBBD to you too, Donna! This is my first time participating and the response has been wonderful! Good to hear from you :)

Hi Cat :) It is a wonderful reminder of my dear Pepere. Yes, Happy Spring to you too!

Yes, Nell Jean, I'm with you. I am grateful for anything that blooms at any time! Thank you for visiting my blog :)

Happy Spring, Toni! This plant (and the main descendant) is very special to me. Yes, my plants did extremely well this winter in my greenhouse and I attribute that directly to my (2) heaters. Without them, most of my stuff would have froze. It was a very (very) good investment!

Hi Darla...this cactus is a very pretty pink. It makes me smile whenever it begins to show signs of blooming. Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Yes, Webb, this plant is very old. Like almost 30 years. I'm so glad I nurtured it to this stage in its life. My sister has a cutting too and hers is doing very well. No, I don't feed it potassium. I just feed it with a water soluble plant food that I buy at my local nursery. It's full of good micro-nutrients that the plant seems to love! Nice to hear from you :)Dianehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15293853685174685134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998505042558888365.post-58963675519838433662011-03-15T14:56:46.638-05:002011-03-15T14:56:46.638-05:00I love that old fashioned variety - no spiky crab-...I love that old fashioned variety - no spiky crab-like leaves - that my grandmother used to grow, too. Unfortunately, my mother and her sisters let it die out. So nice to see that you have one. Do you feed it potassium in the fall?
Thanks for sharing.webbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15168174623602308906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998505042558888365.post-53323960409944595062011-03-15T10:06:07.644-05:002011-03-15T10:06:07.644-05:00What a delightful Spring color it is too. What a delightful Spring color it is too.Darlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09976608531478457839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7998505042558888365.post-82662332115034765832011-03-15T09:26:51.008-05:002011-03-15T09:26:51.008-05:00Oh, how I'd love to see those beautiful blooms...Oh, how I'd love to see those beautiful blooms in my greenhouse :-) All I have are brown frozen plants.
